Boston-based band, Taxpayer, recently spent some time in Power Station New England (PSNE), recording four new songs with their old buddy and engineer, Jon D’Uva.

Taxpayer has been together since 2004 and has gained a following on the East Coast, notably in New York City and especially Boston.

At its core, their music is pure, uninhibited rock. The band has many influences, from classic rock to a host of current groups, but their biggest influence has been the English alternative rockers, Radiohead.

SiLOAm Band – PSNE Sessions

CT-based band, SiLOam was at Power Station NE twice in March with engineer Jon D’uva to record new tracks for their upcoming CD.

This four member alternative / rock band, credits bands like All American Rejects, Paramore, Switchfoot, Skillet, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and GreenDay as their top musical influences.

A little catching up to do…

The past few years were very interesting at Power Station New England with an eclectic group of producers, engineers, musicians and recording projects in the studios. From straight-ahead jazz to slammin’ rock bands with everything in between. We also recorded tracks for television commercials and long form projects.

1. We were fortunate to have Jewell in our studio, recording the song “Quest for Love” for the motion picture “Aurthur and the Invisibles”.

2. Apache Stone with singer Michael Lombardi, who stars in the hit TV show “Rescue Me” were in the studio, recording tracks that appeared on this season’s show as well as their new CD.

3. Greg Liszt from The Deadly Gentlemen (and Bruce Springsteen’s Session Band) was in the studio with Brian Sargent, cutting his vocals for the Deadly Gentlemen’s “The Bastard Masterpiece” CD.

4. Singer-Songwriter, Vanessa Kafka was in with Producer-Engineer Brian Sargent tracking her CD, “Into Place.”

5.”Say When” was in with Producer-Engineer Kato Khandwala, tracking their “I’m with the Band” project.

6. Michael Lent, Russ McKinnon and Brandon Fields were in with their band-mates from the Barry Manilow orchestra laying down tracks for their own project, Jon D’Uva engineering.

7. Curt Ramm, Dan Moretti and Grammy nominee Bill Cunliffe were in the studio with Jon D’Uva, recording their “Foundations” CD project.

8. Roomful of Blues recorded their CD, Raisin a Ruckus with engineer Jon D’Uva.

9. The Tides recorded their project “Waiting for the Day” with Producer-Engineer Kato Khandwala.

10. New York rockers, “Finding Four” were in the studio with Jon D’Uva and Brian Sargent, working with producer, Jeff Pincus.

11. The MSDQ Quintet was in recording their coolest of cool CD “Driven” with Producer Jimmy Haslip from the Yellowjackets.

12. Vibraphone extraordinaire, Jay Hoggard was in with producer-engineer Alec Head recording several projects.

13. We have also recorded music, sound design and voices for a lot of commercial projects along the way, from documentaries and books on tape, to jingles and museum tours.
